Dear Mr and Mrs Davies
By the order of King George V and the Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, We the Government have been instructed to explain about evacuating your children. We know that this will be a very hard decision for you.
Children need to be sent to the Countryside because bomb raids will bomb the cities and large towns. The children need to go because if they come back to the city they need to rebuild all the buildings and houses. You will stay in touch with your children by letter. In the Countryside they will have opportunities that could not happen in the city. I have reasons to support my view because your children will be guaranteed safe in the Countryside. Parents and Adults will go to a bomb shelter where you will be safe. Children are the future, they need to live to stop this preventing again when they are older. We the Government passionately believe it is much safer to send your children away. I an sure that the carer of your children will be kind and as generous as they can be.
If you agree of evacuating your children then here are the instructions. You need to pack a snack for the train ride. 1 handkerchief. 1 of every clothing your children have. You need a small gift for there new carers to show your appreciation.You need to pack everything listed here. Your children will have food and drink at there new home so there is no need to bring much food or drink with them.
In two days you need to bring your children to the train station where you will say your goodbyes and send your children your children away. This will be the most tragic time for you and your children. After the long train ride they will go to a community hall where carers will choose children to home with them. Also at the hall they will have a drink and and a snack because they would be tired and hungry after the long train ride. Then they will go to there new homes.
Your children will be at high risk if you don’t send them to the Countryside. I understand that this will be a very hard and horrible decision for you. You will be worried but we promise to send your letters.
